Tammys holiday lets comprise an apartment in Cola Beach and a house in Sedgefield.
Tammy has lived in Sedgefield for 23 years having moved here at a young age. ‘Being close to work, no queues, or tolls, or getting stuck in traffic are big advantages.” She says.
“One of the things I love about this town” she adds “is its’ great community spirit, where people are willing to go the extra mile.” The much loved and hilarious “Melodrama” and “Slow Festival” are two fund-raising events special to Sedgefield in which she has taken part.
Then Tammy and her fiancè, John are also boating people and Sedgefield is virtually surrounded by water which suits them perfectly as their cabin boat provides endless ways for them to chill out and enjoy themselves after a working week.
When they first invested in a rental property, a tenant did a midnight flit after a couple of months owing them money but leaving some furniture behind. Tammy and John considered their options and decided to convert their residential apartment into holiday accommodation. It was a good decision as it is ideal for this function.
One of Tammys holiday lets is Milk and Honeys, a luxurious self-catering 2-bedroom apartment in a gated complex called Milkwood Ridge in Sedgefield’s upmarket suburb, Cola Beach.
Elevated on the ridge in the midst of indigenous dune vegetation, it has sea views and is within walking distance to the far reaching beaches and the popular indoor/outdoor Myoli Beach restaurant and coffee bar, the hub from which numerous out-door and beach activities can be arranged.
Milk and Honeys apartment has a romantically styled main bedroom with a kingsize bed, and en suite Roman type stone bath and separate shower. The 2nd bedroom has twin beds and its own shower and toilet.
The spacious lounge includes a flat screen TV and DVD player. There is a sleeper couch suitable for 2 young children or one adult. It is partially open plan to a well designed kitchen/scullery with all the appliances that make for comfortable living such as a washing machine/tumbledrier combo, 4 plate stove/oven, microwave oven, fridge/freezer, etc. There’s a gas braai on the balcony off the lounge.
After the success of this apartment, Tammy and John took the opportunity to make a similar investment this time closer to the town centre.
The second of Tammys holiday lets is a trendy holiday house, “Footprints in Sandals”. This is a comfortable 3–bedroom house (sleeping 6), with a double garage in an access controlled secure complex, The Sandals.
Stylishly modern it has beautiful wooden floors, hardwood cupboards and counter tops of Caesar stone throughout. The L-shaped open plan lounge/dining-room/kitchen makes for companionable living. The lounge has a folding door that opens out onto a covered verandah (with Weber braai) that extends into a private garden.
There is an en suite bedroom with 2 three/quarter beds next to the lounge with doors opening out into the garden.
Upstairs there are another two bedrooms, each with queen size beds and their own bathrooms, one with a free standing bath and the other with a shower.
A short distance from town and restaurants and with easy access to the N2 and other outdoor activities along the Garden Route, including the shopping mall delights of George or Knysna, this is the perfect spot for family and/or friends to spend quality time together.
